How it works? |
| Our system uses and records trip details using GPS signals. These signals are now universal and available without licence fees! |
What about the maps? |
| The TripTrack system uses local maps to display trip details. This was a conscious decision to minimise costs and disruptions to users.
Any map in Garmin format (.img) can be imported and used as the default map. Often countries are well represented on the free OpenStreetMap; otherwise there will probably be a commercial version. We don't advocate using pirating copies of these maps. NOTE that only South African maps are included with the standard package. |
Anything else? |
| The TripTrack system currently only runs on the Windows platform (Win XP/Vista/7) and is only available in English. |
